Is your child having difficulty performing academically?

There are many different reasons the students can have difficulty performing academically. If your child has a significant difference between their intellectual ability and their performance on academic tasks of reading, writing, or arithmetic they may be eligible for adjustments in teaching that will help your students thrive.

Many times there is much misunderstanding about how to go about having an assessment completed for students at no cost to the parents. Here is a great resource on how to go about requesting an assessment for a learning disorder from Sarasota County School Board.

Charles R. Davenport, Psy.D., LLC. has a blog entry about students who have difficulty performing academically.
